Luca has been begging for a reptile pet since he could talk, so this kid is ecstatic to have his first pet. When we saw the leopard gecko my sister-in-law was watching, we noticed how docile and easy to handle he was. He obsessed and obsessed. I couldn’t guess the number of videos and tutorials we watched.

It’s a big commitment — they can live up to 20 years! But I think Luca is up to the task. He’ll have to be because handling crickets and mealworms are not my thing.
