Today I’ve got an easy, beautiful spring, Easter craft! All you need are a few supplies for for these pressed flower candle votives. They would be perfect for a craft party or as a homemade gift too!
The kids are home for spring break and I had a few projects in mind for Easter. One went amazingly well and the other … did not. At all. You can also watch the video here.

I wanted to try pressed flowers on candle votives, so we went for a walk and picked a variety of blooms, pressed them in books and waited for them to dry a bit.

We went to the dollar tree, didn’t find much, but we did score 4 votives and some paint brushes.
We went to Target as well to get Mod Podge, napkins and paintable eggs. But they had so many cute things!

Materials
- Glass votive
- Mod Podge (I used satin finish)
- Inexpensive brush
- Pressed flowers

Directions
- For this craft all you have to do is paint an even layer of Mod Podge on the votive.
- Then arrange the pressed flowers and leaves on the glass.
- Use a layer on top as well to seal in the flower.
- Let it dry, and that’s it!

If you don’t have flowers blooming yet, you can buy beautiful pressed flowers online.
This project was messy, so I’d definitely recommend laying down a disposable plastic tablecloth.
The kids and I were so happy with the way they turned out. I’d definitely do this again asor as part of a craft party would be fun!
Craft fail!

The second project I had in mind was to Mod Podge flower napkins on paintable easter eggs. I’ve seen this done and look so pretty. BUT this did not work very well either with little hands or the type of napkin I bought. And the kids made a mess! Haha! You can’t win them all.
