Boys’ bunkbed room organizing

We need some organization in here! It just always looks untidy in my boys’ shared room with messy bunkbeds, cords and I’m not sure what to think about how they rearranged their desks!

I’ve partnered with Beddy’s (affiliate link) to makeover their bunkbeds and it is SO good. It’s actually shocking. Wait until you see the difference! You can use code HOUSEMIX for 20 percent off!

So here is what the boys’ room looked like before. If you’ve ever seen one of my YouTube videos in their room this is no exaggeration. It’s impossible to make those beds! I had given up.

I forgot how to blog for a minute, so these are screenshots of the video. Trying to do video in horizontal (youtube) and vertical (tiktok) and then take photos of the process as well makes my head spin!

So here’s how this magic works. It’s a sheet, blanket and comforter all in one and goes on the mattress like a fitted sheet. So it’s all one piece. And to make the bed, you just zip it up! There are zippers on either side. The set comes with a pillow cover and sham.

The fabric is beautifully textured, like linen. I got the cotton option as we live in Florida, but there is also a super soft minky selection. This pattern is Ashton Luxe.

I couldn’t expect the boys to make their beds if I couldn’t hardly even do it, but now there’s no excuse — it’s just one zip! These are great for bunkbeds as you see here, but also for daybeds, RVs or other tight spaces.

And on the other side of the room I did some reorganizing. They want to sit right next to each other while they play games, so I moved the black bookshelf over to the side. It definitely looks better in between the two desks, but this is more functional for them, so I’m good with it.

I bought the boys gaming chairs for Christmas, so it’s going to look like nonsense soon anyway!

I still love these inexpensive posters from paper source. I added dowels so I could hang them.

Bamboo charging station - Gaming organization

I moved this bamboo charging station from our office in here to organize their tablets.

I used Velcro to attach the power strip to the back of the desk, and a basket to hold all the extra cords until I find something that fits better. Always a work in progress!

We still love this DIY cork board wall behind their door. It’s cute to see what makes the wall.
