Whole house paint color palette

I have added some fun new paint additions to the house lately. I thought I’d take you on a paint tour and show you how the colors work together. I try to limit the number of colors I use to add continuity to the house, but of course there are alway exceptions! Here are my favorite cool-toned colors:

Sherwin Williams Alabaster - Perfect creamy white paint - Whole house color palette - Favorite white and cool tone paint colors

The living room was already painted this pretty, creamy white when we moved in. I had it color matched and it is Sherwin Williams Alabaster or the comparable Behr White Stone. It has warm undertones, but is not too yellow. This is the “default” paint in our house. It adds an airiness that flows from room to room.

Sherwin Williams Light French Gray - best neutral gray color - Whole house color palette - Favorite white and cool tone paint colors

Trends are beginning to move away from all the gray we’ve seen over the last decade, but this Light French Gray is still one of my favorites. It pairs so nicely with white. Again, this has more warm undertones and doesn’t pull blue.

Benjamin Moore Sage Wisdom - Painted doors and wainscotting - Whole house color palette - Favorite white and cool tone paint colors

This soft sage is one of my new favorite colors. In fact, I used it in our playroom, hallway, front door and ceiling of my bedroom. It’s a subtle, rich color that can be added in here and there to bring continuity to the house. It seems everything looks more expensive in Sage Wisdom! Even these dated, yellowing doors.

Kendall Charcoal - Whole house color palette - Favorite white and cool tone paint colors

This deep charcoal has been a favorite of my for years. I painted our last kitchen Kendall Charcoal and now our primary bathroom. It feels elegant and dramatic. It too has warm undertones and does not pull blue, which makes it feel upscale.

Newburg Green - Whole house color palette - Favorite white and cool tone paint colors - peacock green - teal

I opted for this peacock green color for the board and batten accent wall in my boys’ shared room. Newburg Green shifts from blue to green depending on the light and time of day. It adds richness and character to this boring box of a room.

Magnolia Green - painted doors - Whole house color palette - Favorite white and cool tone paint colors - kelly green

I was looking for a pop of color for these doors on the back lanai by the pool. I partnered with Kilz for a project and Magnolia Green fit the bill perfectly! Green will always be my favorite color. It adds a pop of color while still playing as a neutral. It echoes nature and feels so easy on the eyes.

Coral Gables - Whole house color palette - Favorite white and cool tone paint colors

And finally, this pop of pink in my daughter’s bathroom! This is outside the overall home color palette, but I decided to have some fun with my daughter’s favorite color. The tile was boring brown and we are hoping to renovate our bathrooms in a few years, so I painted it ombré coral! It’s fun to do few unexpected things throughout the house.
