Planting an orchid in a palm tree

Last week I planted an orchid in a palm tree. It’s so pretty and vibrant. The idea is that it wraps its roots around the palm. The previous home owner at our last house planted several and I loved them so much I wanted to try it at our new house!

This is probably more like an experiment than a tutorial, but I’ll come back and update!

  1. Oh that’s a great idea to use palms. I’m trying to remember to fertilize and mist with water occasionally during the dry season. The orchid is still doing well, but not as good as if it were in a pot though. I’m hoping that the summer rainy season will help :)
