After not blogging for a few weeks, it’s so hard to jump back into it! Decorating, taking pictures, editing and labeling pictures, writing, organizing all seems like a tall order. But I did it! I know you’re not here to talk about that, so on to Christmas decor.
Here is what I have up so far. I’m considering adding in some blush here and there. And adding some hanging glitter stars in the dining room. But I like to go a little at a time. It also keeps me from getting tired of looking at everything for over a month.
It’s our first Christmas in this house, so I’m still figuring out where to put things. The light fixture is right in front of the tree, for example. It’s make me nuts. I think I’m going to leave the tree bare and simple. Less for kids to mess with too!
Do you change up holiday colors or decorations? What are your favorites? Traditional red and green or neutral or different combo?

Hi Kate,
Oh wow! I love all your green and white – so crisp and clean and fresh! Your house is really coming together. Your entryway looks amazing with the garland and stockings and the dining room looks complete with the cabinets flanking the wine cabinet. You’ve been busy!! ;)
We’ve just gotten back from a trip to the mountains and there’s nothing better to put you in the Christmas decorating mood! I tend to stick to the more traditional red, green, and gold with lots of plaid. But if/when we ever getting around to completing our dining room I want to do more of the natural, outdoorsy look.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Thank you so much, Kristen! I bet your mountain trip was amazing. I’ve never lived anywhere with mountains so they seem magical to me. Thanks so much for all your kind words. Happy decorating!
I love it all!
