Happy Valentine’s Day! Well, almost. I thought I’d share a pink mocktail recipe to celebrate.
Almost seven months into this pregnancy, I’m craving a cocktail! I’ve ordered virgin drinks quite a few times during my three pregnancies. I usually ask for the bartender’s recommendation, and they tend to come out super sweet or super tangy.
But a bartender/friend of my husband’s hit the mark with this refreshing cranberry-cucumber with lime drink, and it is my by far my favorite. It’s the perfect combination sweet, fresh, and tangy. Delicious!
Ingredients
3 ounces cranberry juice (6 tablespoons)
1 ounce lime juice (2 tablespoons)
1 ounce simple syrup (2 tablespoons of equal parts sugar and water)
3 cucumber wheels
pinch of salt
ice
(I like to add 2 ounces of water to mine)
Directions
- Muddle two cucumber wheels and salt in a mixer.
- Add liquids and ice.
- Shake and strain into cocktail glass.
- Add cucumber wheel to garnish.
Cheers!
