The little girl in me loves pink roses. Last spring my husband planted me a pink rose bush, which blooms in-your-face, bright pink buds. I pretty much love them.
For whatever reason, when he cuts one to bring it inside, he always puts it in this green vase. I’m sure it’s not a conscious decision on his part, but it makes the pink pop even more. I couldn’t help but take a few pictures of this last little bouquet and share it’s pretty color palette.
I think I’ll keep that guy around :)

I CAME ACROSS YOUR ROSY PALETTE AND I HAD TO READ, WHICH I LOVE EVEN THOUGH MY FAVORITE COLOR IS BLUE. MY LOVE FOR THESE COLORS AND ANTIQUE PLATES CAME FROM MY GRANDMOTHER, SHE COLLECTED PLATES TRAVELING THE STATES WITH MY GRANDFATHER IN THEIR LATER YEARS. WE LOST MAMAW TO LIVER CANCER FORTY YEARS AGO JUST A COUPLE OF MONTHS BEFORE MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN.
ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO, WE REMODELED MY 1971 BATHROOM, THE HALL BATH, AND I USED THESE COLORS, YOUR ROSEY COLOR PALETTE. I HAVE A FEW PLATES WITH THESE COLORS WITH PINK ROSES AND I PAINTED THE WALLS PINK, WHICH MY DAUGHTER THOUGHT WAS CRAZY, AND HUNG THOSE PLATES. IT’S STILL MY FAVORITE ROOM AND WOULD NEVER CHANGE IT, I GUESS THIS SHOWS THE LOVE I HAVE FOR MY GRANDPARENTS, WHICH THEY TAUGHT ME.
I adore hearing about beautiful relationships with grandparents, Renee! I would love to see pictures of your remodel with these fun colors! I’ve always been a fan of pink and green! :)
