Organization

Pretty printable daily cleaning list

Cleaning is not an outlet when I am angry. I don’t clean when I’m stressed. I usually end up cleaning everything all at once like a maniac when I’ve invited someone to come over.

But I’ve gotta get this house under control. I’m grabbing spring cleaning by the horns and taking it down. Well that’s a little aggressive, but I am making a weekly cleaning list to get this girl in order. I can handle a couple things a day, right?

  1. I feel desperate for organization in my house. My husband is sick and in the bed most of the time so I never get to make my bed and just everything is totally disorganized…..

  2. I’m sorry to hear about your husband, Kathy. If you feel overwhelmed about clutter, just start in one small space. Even a drawer. Concentrate on that one spot until you are satisfied before moving on to the next thing. That way you avoid half organizing five things instead of truly decluttering one — like I sometimes do! Blessings to you.

  3. Thank you for the helpful hints. My husband and I are both moderately organized, however things usually slip through the cracks and we have to get back to the schedule. However, over the past couple of months, my husband started a home business collecting, renovating and re-selling art and vintage items. And he collected so much that our garage, his office, the guest bedroom, living room is all filled. There’s so much clutter that leaving both of us so depressed in the mess. We do need to find a balance with his “work” and our home. The one space I only seem to manage to keep clutter free is my closet. But, I’m so desperate for us to get back on track and find a balance.

  4. Sounds like a very cool business! I could absolutely see myself doing something like that and then having too many extras. I hope you can find a good balance you can both agree on.

  5. Had a stroke several years ago and we have four children my husband is overwhelmed and I recently had to have surgery and if I thought the house was bad before it’s really bad now I don’t know what to do or how to get started and the stroke fully disabled me so my income is limited to Social Security disability what I really need is someone to help me organize the house because I’m physically weak but I don’t even know how to start to try to find someone who won’t cost a fortune I could just cry my house was always so clean my kids were organized everything just seems like a mess. Any suggestions?

  6. I’m so sorry to hear about your recent health issues. I’m sure you don’t need the stress of disorganization on top of it. I don’t have any organizing recommendations, but maybe your husband or children could help you tackle one room at a time?? Or if there is a neighbor girl or college kid who would like to earn a little extra money by helping you sort. I’m sorry I can’t be of more help. I’m saying a prayer for you right now that a solution would offer itself to you! xo

  7. Hi Kate
Thank you for your simplifying solutions on cleaning and taking the fear out of how to clean efficiently.

If you have recommendations on how to clean with a steamer I would appreciate it as I have allergies and am very sensitive to the smell of disinfectants.

    Thank you
    Marco
