I love a good milkshake, but I have to say, this smoothie hits the spot. And the fact that it’s healthy and includes spinach kind of blows my mind. (More on how to sneak spinach into your diet here.) I admit to making my serving larger than my boys’ this morning.
There are only a handful of ingredients and you can whip it up fast. Makes one tall glass.
Simple, delicious chocolate smoothie
- 1 cup of milk or almond milk
- 1 cup of spinach
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- 4 ice cubes
Here are some more options if you’re feeling ambitious: avocado, protein powder, peanut butter, chia seeds, cinnamon.
These would also be great as popsicles too!
