When we moved into our new house, I decided to do our master bed and bath first. Sounds a bit selfish as I type that out, but this stay-at-home mom of a one- and two-year-old would like a little space for herself. A space where I’m not thinking of what it could be, because it’s already done. A space where toys aren’t invited. A peaceful space.
Here are the before and after bathroom pictures:
I love color. But in this space I choose only white and silver — and a little sparkle. That meant painting the walls (Sherwin Williams White Flour) and cabinets (instructions here) and adding a little styling.

Beautiful! I love how crisp and clean and glamorous the white looks with the silver & crystal accents. Just lovely.
Fabulous, classy and elegant! The crystals are fab and the brushes and flowers give it a personal touch :)
I have been looking for bathroom ideas for downsizing, your bathroom looks lovely as I want twin basins, well done.
Were your cabinets treated with anything like a laminate/stain? I have been wanted to do what you did, but I keep getting told I can’t. Are there special products to eliminate this problem?
Thank-you. Your project is beautiful.
Hi Claudia. My cabinets were stained in the factory. I lightly sanded them, especially in areas that would be touched frequently. You could always do a test on the inside of one cabinet. Wishing you the best!!
votre salle de bains avec ses belles plantes vertes, j’adore, j’aime aussi les miroirs, le fauteuil ancien cela me plait beaucoup. j’ai trouver une nouvelle idée de décoration. MERCI
The bathroom is gorgeous. Love the white and silver, lovely combination, it really looks so smart.
Thanks, Elize! You’re so sweet :)
Hi! I know this is late but I just stumbled upon your site and LOVE it. So inspiring that I’m painting my kitchen cabinets this weekend! I would love to know where you purchased your master bathroom mirrors from? Thank you in advance for your time.
Thanks so much for the comment, Candy. I’m sorry, those years were about 14 years old when we moved in. Sorry that’s no help!
I love your counter top – what is it? I have been looking for a very light grey.
